Meet Our Design Team

Terry Pritchard.

Terry Pritchard- Artistic Director

Known affectionately in the Drum Corps world as “Animal”, Terry Pritchard began his performing career aging out with the Drum Corps International World Champion Star of Indiana.

During his time at Star, he studied design under the late George Zingali and technique from Dr Len Kruzecki and Todd Ryan. Following in the footsteps of these great instructors, Terry developed a style that is innovative, creative, and unmistakable.

Pritchard continued his performing career with the Tony and Emmy Award-winning show, Blast! as a cast member in the Broadway Cast where he played Tuba, percussion and voice. Terry was also the visual instructor for both the North American touring cast and the Broadway Cast.

Brad Donoris- Program Coordinator & Drill Writer

Brad’s most recent experience has been on visual staff with the Blue Stars for the last 7 years. Some of his previous educational endeavors include: Boston Crusaders, The Crossmen, and Jersey Surf.

Brad is also an active visual designer, consultant, and adjudicator. He has written for various outdoor and indoor ensembles throughout the country, most recently as the drill designer for Pecos High School, (TX).

He is currently the Visual Manager for WGI finalist United Percussion and serves as the Visual Designer & Coordinator for United Percussion 2.

Alex Beltran- Program Consultant

The Raiders are thrilled to welcome Alex Beltran to our 2026 educational team as Program Consultant!

Alex is an active writer, teacher, performer, and clinician from New England, now based in Southwest Ohio. He holds a Master’s Degree in Music History and an Undergraduate Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he studied under Ayano Kataoka and Thom Hannum.

While at UMass, Alex performed with the UMass Minuteman Marching Band Battery (2010–2013) and was a member of The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps (2011–2014), winning the 2011 DCI World Championship and the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award as Battery Section Leader in 2013. After aging out, he joined The Cadets battery staff as Main Quad Technician for the 2015–2016 seasons before joining the Boston Crusaders percussion staff in 2017.

Alex is currently Director and Battery Arranger for United Percussion, a consistent WGI Independent World Finalist, and Battery Caption Manager for 2025 DCI World Champions, the Boston Crusaders, overseeing teaching, equipment, logistics, and staff coordination. He is also the Associate Director of the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bands program, where he oversees the writing, growth, and development of the percussion program. Since moving to Ohio, he has served as Percussion Director and In-School Specialist for Miamisburg School District.

Alex’s extensive experience as a performer, educator, and program leader brings unmatched expertise, creativity, and insight to the Raiders.

Rob Watson- Program Consultant

The Raiders are excited to welcome Rob Watson to our 2026 education team as Program Consultant!

Rob is a nationally recognized educator, consultant, and adjudicator in the marching arts.  From 2017 to 2023, he served as the Executive Director of Fusion Winter Guard, leading the ensemble to top-tier finalist placements in both the Independent Open and Independent World classes. Prior to that, he was the Guard Caption Head for Fusion Drum & Bugle Corps from 2013 to 2018, where his leadership contributed to two world championship titles and consistently high national rankings.

Rob has worked with a wide range of scholastic, collegiate, and independent programs across the country, recognized for his excellence in instruction, choreography, and visual design. He adjudicates for several prominent circuits nationwide, including the New York State Field Band Conference, Mid-York Color Guard Circuit, Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit, Eastern Tennessee Performing Arts Association, and the New Jersey Marching Band Directors Association, specializing in color guard and visual performance.

In 2022, Rob was honored with induction into the Drum Corps Associates Hall of Fame, recognizing his lasting impact on the marching arts community.

Outside of the activity, Rob resides on the Jersey Shore and serves as Chief Executive Officer of a Top 10 global advertising and branding agency.

Michael Terry.

Michael Terry- Brass Arranger

Michael composes and arranges for a variety of ensembles including marching band, wind ensemble, chamber ensembles (trombone ensemble, trumpet ensemble, brass quintet, SATB chorus, etc.), and the drum & bugle corps setting.

Michael’s drum corps experience began as a member of The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from 2000-2007. During his tenure at The Cadets, Michael was a featured soloist and the corps was crowned DCI World Champions in 2000 and 2005.

Michael’s teaching experience includes being on the brass faculty for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010-2013, serving as the Brass Co-Caption Head for the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014, and member of the brass staff in 2015-2017 – helping the 2015 Cadets hornline win the Jim Ott award for excellence in brass performance at the DCI World Championships. Michael then joined the brass staff for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps in 2018, where he continues to teach.

Jarod Sullivan- Battery Arranger

Jarod is a percussionist, arranger, and educator based in Massachusetts, holding a Master’s degree in Music Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has studied under renowned educators such as Thom Hannum, Ian Hale, Colin McNutt, and Iain Moyer. His marching career began in high school and continued with the Sunrisers and Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps. He also performed with the UMass Drumline from 2018 to 2021.

Jarod has taught at various high schools in the Northeast and served on staff at Carolina Crown in 2022. Since 2023, he has been on staff with the Boston Crusaders and United Percussion. Additionally, he writes and teaches for the UMass Drumline and serves as the Front Ensemble Director/Arranger at the University of New Haven. Jarod currently arranges for many high school and collegiate groups in the United States and Canada.

Marcus Shipp- Color Guard Designer

The Raiders are thrilled to welcome Marcus Shipp to our 2026 guard staff!

Marcus is a seasoned performer and educator with a rich background in the marching arts. He has performed with Alter Ego Independent World ‘21 and The Black Watch Independent World ‘24, ‘25, and as Captain in ‘26, showcasing his dedication and skill on the court.

Beyond his performance experience, Marcus has served as an instructor for outdoor and indoor guards at South Brunswick High School, J.P. Stevens High School, Steinert High School, and as guard director at Jackson Memorial High School, bringing a wealth of teaching experience and leadership to our program.

Outside of the marching arts, Marcus is pursuing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University, balancing his passion for education, research, and performance.

Ryan Reed- Front Ensemble Arranger

Ryan Reed is a percussion educator and designer in the Cincinnati, OH, area. He is currently the Percussion Director at West Clermont Schools where he teaches percussion 6-12, marching band and winter percussion. Additionally, Ryan has been on staff with Matrix Performing Arts where he serves as the World Front Ensemble Coordinator and Staff Coordinator since 2013.

 

Ryan served as a front ensemble instructor/assistant caption head for the Madison Scouts ’23-’24, front ensemble arranger for the Skyliners ’16-’17, Sunrisers ’18, and White Sabers ’19-’20 in DCA. He also served as front instructor, coordinator and arranger for Southwind ’18-’23, helping the corps earn an Open Class Bronze Medal and World Class Semi-Finalist in ’23. He also has served as a front ensemble instructor for the Empire Statesmen ’09, Glassmen ’12, Phantom Regiment ’15, ’21-’22 and front ensemble instructor/coordinator for Capital City Percussion ’13-’15.

Ryan received a B.M. in Music Education from Kent State University where he studied percussion with Ted Rounds. He was a front ensemble member of Matrix Percussion from 2006-2008, and was also a member of the Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2007 and 2009, and the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2008.
